Reports from Bari region of Puntland state say that no traffic is currently operating on the road between the towns of Garowe and Bossaso, after being shut down by armed forces.
Reports from the town of Armo in Bari region are said to be led by a former army officer who arrived in Bossaso called Isse Yulux.
Officials in the area say the forces blocked the road between Garowe and Bossaso, reportedly stopping at Bossaso and Garowe, and many vehicles were blocked off the outskirts of Bossaso.
On November 16, this year, Puntland forces and militias led by Isse Yulux fought in control of the port city of Bossaso, but tensions later resolved in the region.
